“French Connection” by Michael Moore

Featuring Louise Froideval

Louise saw my work with another French model from last year on Instagram and contacted me about shooting together. As it happened I was heading back to Paris from my home in San Francisco to shoot  fashion and take some vacation time, so we agreed to set up a shoot while I was in town.  I had a nice top floor apartment rental and I love the Parisian windows and balconies so that seemed like a great spot to shoot, especially since the weather was unpredictable.

I knew Louise would be taking the train into Paris, but what I didn’t know is it was her first trip to the city since she was 7 years old.  She lives in a  small city in the north of France, about midway between Paris and Normandy, and the city always seemed so far away and intimidating. So after our shoot we ended up doing a small tour of the city together, with me acting as tour guide. Being from California, this seemed a bit surreal, but we had a great time and got some cool “tourist” photos too.

All in all it was a great experience and I hope she makes it to San Francisco someday so I can be a tour guide again. And shoot of course!
